The new booking platform “To do in Istria” was presented at the House of Istrian Olive Oil in Pula. It is a website that encompasses the tourist offer of Istria in one place.
For now, 52 different attractions, tourist experiences and tours in Istria can be booked on the website. The portal was
launched by the Istrian Tourism Development Agency with the support of the County of Istria and the Tourist Board of the County of Istria.
Slavica Tobok Kandić, director of the Istrian Tourism Development Agency, pointed out that this new website wants to unite tours, attractions and experiences in one place, but not in a way that they are only informative, but that the users can simultaneously book their place i.e. their tickets.
The current content on the platform is divided into several main categories: “history&culture”, “gourmet experience” and “water activities”. The House of Istrian Olive Oil is part of the cultural and gastronomic offer.
“To Do in Istria” also offers a reviewed system of categorization according to location and type of service, while the design is also adapted to mobile browsers, which enables users to easily access and use the platform via mobile devices, said Tobok Kandić.
Nada Prodan Mraković, head of the Administrative Department for Tourism of the Istrian County, said that the platform networks all providers in the segment of culture, sports, gastronomy and events and becomes a central place for booking and purchasing Istrian tourism offers. Its total value is 35 thousand euros.
Istrian prefect Boris Miletić also expressed his satisfaction with the project, considering that, as he said, he perceives tourism as a vacation and an experience, and it is precisely through the platform that experiences are offered and promoted.
The creation of the website with IT and technical support is signed by the Digital Agency Markething d.o.o., and the creation and design of the visual identity of the platform is the responsibility of the company Alphera d.o.o.
