As a part of their study visit to Istria, women entrepreneurs from eastern Croatia visited the House of Istrian olive oil. The mission of this long trip is to meet the successful women entrepreneurship projects. Lorena Boljunčić presented her successful cultural-gastronomic story which transformed unused factory building into an inevitable educational experience for tourists and the local population.
Guests entrepreneurs learned many interesting facts about the history of Istrian olive growing. Through olive oil tasting, they have learned about some of the best Istrian oils in the world. As the study tour took place during the olive harvest period, guests had the opportunity to try out the harvesting of the century-old olive in front of the museum.
This study trip to Istria is the result of a friendly cooperation between BPW Pula and „Perspektiva“ Entrepreneurship Development Association, where entrepreneurs from seven counties of the Republic of Croatia (Vukovarsko-Srijemka, Osječko-baranjska, Brodsko-Posavska, Požeško-Slavonska, Bjelovarsko-bilogorska, Sisačko-Moslavačka and Virovitičko-Podravska) came to Istria to become acquainted with the best practices of female entrepreneurship.
After the educational tour and degustation, the discussion and exchange of experiences continued in an informal atmosphere followed by Istrian culinary specialties.
