The family ancestors had barely few hectares of vineyards, while the knowledge was passed on through the years and upgraded by each generation. Today, the young generation of the Kozlovi\u0107 family continues to work on the vineyards, creating traditional wines expressing the character of Istrian indigenous varieties. With steady improvements, their wine became one of the most popular Istrian wine. The vineyards are situated in one of the best Istrian areas for wine cultivation \u2013 Santa Lucia, where they are growing the indigenous varieties \u2013 Malvasia, Muscat Momiano, Muscat Rose and Teran. From international varieties they are growing Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest is done exclusively by hand and the main goal of the family is to maintain the quality that is also recognised outside the borders of the Istrian peninsula.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1116 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oleumhistriae.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/kozlovic2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"186\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1115 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oleumhistriae.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/kozlovic1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malvasia is a dry white wine which is produced from the autochthonous Istrian variety \u201cmalvazija istarska\u201d with 13% alcohol. Our Malvasia (Malvasia Istriana) has a nice pale lemony, almost golden colour. The scent is of medium intensity with ripe yellow fruit sensations such as peach, apricot and lemon coming first, followed by fresh herbs like sage. It is dry on the palate, medium bodied, with a slightly oily texture while offering a lovely, balanced acidity and a touch of saltiness and a slightly altered aroma profile with more floral sensations.
