Teran is an autochthonous variety from which dry red wine with a deep almost opaque purple colour is produced with an alcohol volume of 13%. The scent has a lot of youth and freshness with an intense aroma of small red and black berry fruits such as raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry with some peppery and forest-like hints. It is dry on the palate, is medium-bodied with low tannin content and a refreshing finish. This excellent Teran wine has aging potential till the year 2021.

Description

KOZLOVIĆ WINERY

The wine story of Kozlović family began in 1904 in the Valle valley crossed by the Argilla creek. The family ancestors had barely few hectares of vineyards, while the knowledge was passed on through the years and upgraded by each generation. Today, the young generation of the Kozlović family continues to work on the vineyards, creating traditional wines expressing the character of Istrian indigenous varieties. With steady improvements, their wine became one of the most popular Istrian wine. The vineyards are situated in one of the best Istrian areas for wine cultivation – Santa Lucia, where they are growing the indigenous varieties – Malvasia, Muscat Momiano, Muscat Rose and Teran. From international varieties they are growing Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest is done exclusively by hand and the main goal of the family is to maintain the quality that is also recognised outside the borders of the Istrian peninsula.
