Kozlović – Malvasia Istriana

VINARIJA KOZLOVIĆ

The wine story of Kozlović family began in 1904 in the Valle valley crossed by the Argilla creek. The family ancestors had barely few hectares of vineyards, while the knowledge was passed on through the years and upgraded by each generation. Today, the young generation of the Kozlović family continues to work on the vineyards, creating traditional wines expressing the character of Istrian indigenous varieties. With steady improvements, their wine became one of the most popular Istrian wine. The vineyards are situated in one of the best Istrian areas for wine cultivation – Santa Lucia, where they are growing the indigenous varieties – Malvasia, Muscat Momiano, Muscat Rose and Teran. From international varieties they are growing Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest is done exclusively by hand and the main goal of the family is to maintain the quality that is also recognised outside the borders of the Istrian peninsula.
