Out of stock

This old autochthonous Istrian variety gives high quality oil and is characterized by the scent of fresh mown grass and green olives with notes of artichoke, asparagus and radicchio. This oil variety is usually more pungent and bitter, but this olive oil from the northern part of Istria is even more accentuated by these two taste characteristics.

The young olive grove of the company Komarija extends over 6 hectares with 1500 trees and is located in a great location for olive growing. It is located at the junction of Mediterranean and continental climate at an altitude of 380 meters above sea level above the beautiful town of Draguć where the sea air reaches it via the Mirna river channel. The olive groves are protected by the hills from strong winds, so they are less exposed to fog, frost and low temperatures. Old varieties have been planted in order to get top quality olive oil: buža, oblica, rosinjola, istarska bjelica, motovunska crnica and the induced Italian varieties: leccino, pendolino, frantoio. The oil of this young duo will not only delight you with its aroma and taste but also with its sophisticated and award-winning packaging.
